JDRF is mission-focused. Literally, we are working towards a day when we are no longer needed.
JDRF funded research yields tangible results including progressive therapies and technologies available to our Panhandle neighbors. Dozens of local families are now using closed-loop insulin delivery systems that were not available just a few short years ago.
Another advance, a drug named Lucentis, provides advances in vision care for those living with all types of diabetes. This drug for diabetic retinopathy, is improving the vision of many Panhandle residents, helping them to maintain retinal function at risk, as a result of the catastrophic effects of diabetes.
When you support JDRF events like the Promise Ball, you are making a difference. Your support keeps life-changing research in the pipeline, bringing us closer to a day when T1D no longer threatens lives.
